CLUBFOOT TREATMENT

Challenge: Babies in developing countries born with clubfoot, a crippling limb deformity, face a lifetime of severely impaired walking, economic hardship, and social ostracism.
Strategy: POF trains local healthcare professionals to identify and treat clubfoot using a series of inexpensive casts and locally-made braces. Learn about our program in Vietnam. |

Challenge: Children and adults with severe limb deformities in developing countries cannot walk due to a lack of trained local orthopedic surgeons.

Challenge: Prosthetic limbs wear out, amputees’ bodies change and grow, and amputees in different countries live and work in different environments.
