The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) presented the 2007 Ernest M. Burgess Award to Dr. Dudley Childress. This recognition is given to an individual each year who has made a significant contribution in improving the lives of people with limb loss.
Each year the ACA provides a $1,000.00 honorarium to a non-profit chosen by the recipient of this award. Dr. Childress generously designated Prosthetics Outreach Foundation as the recipient of his award. Dr. Childress asked that the gift be used for the research being done by POF Director of Programs, Ray Pye.
