Call for Auction Volunteers
Our auctions are vital fundraisers that helps support our programs. Being a POF volunteer allows you to make a difference in the lives of amputees in developing countries, while also interacting with a wonderful group of energetic and hardworking individuals.
Volunteers are needed for positions to help in all aspects, from duties on the day of the event to coordination months in advance in preparation for the event. The positions include but are not limited to:
Procurement: Sending out solicitation forms, liaising with donors, helping to coordinate auction catalog.
Decorations: Helping to plan and prepare decoration concepts and materials in conjunction with the auction theme.
Design & Printing: Designing and generating invitations and programs, developing descriptions for auction items, other creative tasks.
Volunteer Recruitment: Recruiting and coordinating volunteers, communicating tasks to volunteers.
Data Entry: Entering auction data into auction software system, assisting with mailings, preparing auction paperwork.
Registration: Working the registration desk during the auction, including welcoming guests, communicating all pertinent information to them and directing them.
Load & Take Down: Setting up all necessary items prior to the auction and taking down items and cleaning up at the end of the night.
