Liberia

In 2009 and 2010, Prosthetics Outreach Foundation (POF) assisted the International Orthopedic Rehabilitation Organization (IORO) with upgrades to a prosthetics workshop in Monrovia, Liberia. On February 24, 2011 POF ended the partnership.

POF remains committed to helping restore mobility and independence to amputees in Liberia many of whom are unable to access prosthetic care. We are currently exploring opportunities to partner with orthopedic service providers in Liberia who share POF’s high standards for accountability and transparency. It is our intention to continue our physical rehabilitation assistance efforts in Liberia with a new program implementation partner in the fall of 2011.
