Winfried Danke, Executive Director

Winfried Danke has been with the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation since 2001. He has more than ten years of diverse nonprofit and program experience. Mr. Danke served as executive director of a community and economic development organization in southern Oregon, where he initiated and managed several local and regional development projects. Mr. Danke also served as deputy director of the Civic Assistance Program with the National Civic League in Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Danke holds a Master’s degree in International Studies with distinction from the University of Southampton, England, and a Master’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of Hamburg, Germany. He has served on various boards, is a member of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics and is a member of the Global Clubfoot Initiative steering committee.

Liesa Rose, Director of Operations and Development

Liesa Rose joins POF from the International Training and Education Center for Health, at the University of Washington. Prior to I-TECH, Ms. Rose worked in management positions at UW Medical Center for 10 years. She has more than 15 years leadership, operations, and management experience in healthcare and non-profit organizations.

Ms. Rose has served on several non-profit boards and is currently President of an Advisory Council. Ms. Rose has a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration from UW.

Raymond Pye, Director of Program Quality and Emerging Programs

Raymond Pye has been with the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation since 1996. He has specialized in the design and manufacture of lower limb prosthetic components in both the private and humanitarian sectors since 1985. Mr. Pye directed manufacturing of the Seattle foot for M+IND Corporation and later worked as marketing director for the Asian region.

Mr. Pye received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Western Washington University, a New Zealand Certificate of Engineering from the Christchurch Institute of Technology and currently serves on the advisory council of the Global Clubfoot Initiative.

Jessica Dyer, Program Officer

Jessica Dyer served in the United States Peace Corps from 2007-2009 in a rural village in Uganda, East Africa as a Community Health Extension Worker. Her work included project management for a large-scale community demonstration farm funded by USAID gifting animals to both people living with HIV/AIDS and orphans, developing a sustainable business model for her host organization, and supporting organization staff in implementing and monitoring daily medical testing and counseling.

She holds a B.A. from the University of Washington.

Melissa Winter, Development Associate

Melissa Winter graduated from Gonzaga University in the Spring of 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication focused on Public Relations. She is a California native and before her move to Washington she was the Development Specialist for Northern Valley Catholic Social Service.
